Norway’s Figgjo is both a brand and company that we like very much. As a company that specializes in hospitality porcelain, Figgjo produces products that are beautiful in their overall design and aesthetic, but work very well from a practical standpoint, as well. And while Figgjo has a wide range of dinnerware and serveware product, but one collection we truly love is their STILL new OSLO coffee service series. Figgjo’s OSLO series has been developed together with Tim Wendelboe, one of Norway’s top baristas. Wendelboe was named the top coffee barista in Norway and went on to win a Gold Medal at the World Barista Championships, so you HAVE to know that Wendelboe knows coffee. And, since the team at Figgjo are experts at porcelain….you have to imagine that it’s a good match. The story behind the OSLO coffee series is best described by Wendelboe himself, “The new coffee cups from Figgjo completely change the coffee experience. By using the three different cups we are able to emphasize each individual coffee’s unique flavors and intensify my guests’ taste experience” The OSLO collection from Figgjo consists of 3 cups that are uniquely designed and a small pot that allows for brewing the coffee in the pot itself. So, this is not a large collection. We especially love the cup shapes and think that coffee aficionados will, as well. Again, all the OSLO pieces are made for the hospitality industry. But, most importantly, they are made to enhance the coffee drinking experience. For any foodservice or hospitality operator who is looking to differentiate their coffee experience, OSLO should be at the top of the list in terms of service pieces you consider. As the coffee drinking phenomenon continues to grow and as drinkers become more and more knowledgeable, the demand for sophisticated coffee types grows and how you serve these experienced guests truly matters. The OSLO coffee service collection from Figgjo answers the demand for a coffee service that enhances and intensifies the coffee taste experience – no doubt. As we mentioned earlier, Norway’s Figgjo produces an extensive line of wide range of trend-setting hospitality porcelain dinnerware and serveware products. These products are sold all over the world and are just – in the last several years – become available in the U.S. In the U.S., OSLO and all of the Figgjo products are available from the team at the Little M. Tucker division of Singer Equipment. You can check out the Figgjo lineup on the Little M. Tucker website (https://lmtprovisions.com/) or go to www.Figgjo.com On the Figgjo website, you will find a complete list of the worldwide distributors for each region of the world. So, go ahead and intensify – and enjoy your coffee! Norway’s innovative porcelain dinnerware company Figgjo wanted to create something new and innovative – and something a little bit extreme. Yet Erik Lindberg, Figgjo’s Designer and Product Development Managerknew it had to remain functional and commercially viable.
Figgjo’s Lindberg has worked closely with several of Norway’s leading chefs, including the country’s Bocuse d’Or candidate Christian André Pettersen, as well as the national cooking teams in both Norway and Sweden. Their feedback helped to shape the design of Figgjo AURA. “It was wonderful to work with experts within food and dining. It helped us to ensure that functionality was incorporated into the aesthetic. The plates need to be stackable, have a suitable weight, and still be suitable for restaurant and catering purposes,” Lindberg continues. He spent a year working on the design in order to achieve all of these goals.

Their new FRONT DINING collection continues that trend.
Designed by the talented team of Olav Joa, Constance G. Kristiansen and Jens Olav Hetland, new FRONT DINING from Figgio is aesthetically elegant and light. FRONT DINING is characterized by a modern and young design that enhances the aesthetics of the dish and the creativity of the chef, without sacrificing the quality of the material, in terms of strength and functionality. The series includes flat and deep plates, with and without border, variable in size from 15 to 32 cm in diameter, allowing a great variety in the presentation of the dishes. And, of course, FRONT DINING has the requisite cup and saucer sizes for today’s coffee aficionados, all designed with the FRONT DINING ethos, as well. Figgjo OSLO is a new family of products that captures and challenges coffee trends. The family of products allows you to communicate and tailor the experience of the coffee’s aroma in a new and exciting way. Figgjo's OSLO makes the overall experience at your eatery even more pleasurable. The new coffee concept consists of three cups and a pot, which replace the traditional cup. The three special cups, heighten the flavour of the coffee each in their own way and all holds 20 cl. The 30 cl pot is designed to allow for easy serving and for the coffee to be brewed directly in the pot. In short, Figgjo OSLO creates a coffee drinking ceremony in your eatery. Figgjo OSLO does for coffee what custom-designed glass has done for wine. Figgjo’s new coffee concept is named after Oslo, one of the world’s greatest coffee capitals. Oslo is a market leader in the development and refinement of black coffee - cup to cup with Seattle and Vienna, Havana and Melbourne, Lisbon, São Paulo and Taipei.
Tim Wendelboe compares brewing coffee to cooking a meal. His recipe for success is high-quality ingredients, proper equipment and good methods. It seems as though Wendelboe operates in the guest experience market - just like Figgjo! Sometimes, it is simple that makes the meal. FLYT from Norway's Figgjo is a great exmple. “One of the most exciting aspects this launch is presenting our new decorative styles,” says Olsen. “Our designers, Eli Oftedal Sømme, Constance Gaard Kristiansen and Tonje Sandberg, have used various techniques and methods to produce an organic, fluid look. We note that the chefs we have tested this on are increasingly enthusiastic when serving up meals on Figgjo plates." All the new BASE products from Figgjo are decorated by hand, giving them a natural variation.

Norwegian porcelain company Figgjo’s new SPINN stands out from other plates with its elevated point in the middle. It is well suited for soups and salads, and is extra exciting for the guest when the food is arranged using the point as a visible element in the presentation. Cool company. Cool products. Figgjo.
