Introduced a couple of years back, The ART GLAZE collection of bone china dinnerware still remains one of our favorites – and in the very top tier of the many recent dinnerware introductions in terms of design, grace, and style – and, of course – quality. If you are looking to impress your dining guests, it would be hard to imagine a better dinnerware collection to do it with than Royal Crown Derby’s ART GLAZE. Royal Crown Derby’s ART GLAZE combines the hand-crafted, artisan aesthetic with the purity and whiteness of fine bone china. With the individual application of the reactive glaze, each piece obtains exceptional beauty through random and chance effects during kiln firing and glaze chemistry. The four colored glazes in smoke, sky, caramel and mulberry, have been developed to be stunning on their own, or in combination with one another. Delivering a refreshing, high-end presentation, this bone china provides the perfect presentation piece for any chef-driven menu.
In fact, the entire collection of Royal Crown Derby dinnerware is a range of delicate shapes in fine bone china, made in the heart of England. All of the company’s tableware has elegance fused with practical appeal, making it a great choice for fine dining operators of all types. From pure white bone china to artisan aesthetic reactive glazes, Royal Crown Derby delivers a refreshing high-end presentation and provides chefs with a beautiful canvas for their foodservice presentation. And, on that must-see list were the three new embossed dinnerware patterns from RAK Porcelain USA. That was a good call because while we had seen pictures, the actual plates were even better in person. And, while they are quite upscale in appearance – and, frankly, might work very well in white-tablecloth type restaurants …..these three new dinnerware collections were designed specifically for use in high volume, banqueting and catering situations. Oftentimes, when we think of RAK Porcelain and their many new dinnerware products that they’ve launched over the past years…. we tend to think of the more sexy, flashy products. Products like their Metalfusion which boast of Gold, Silver and Bronze truly stunning metallics. Or, we think of the wide variety of colors in their very colorful NEOFUSION dinnerware. But, the truth is RAK Porcelain has many white dinnerware options – both classic and contemporary – in their wide range of dinnerware designs. And with names like HELM…. CHARM …. And SOUL…..these three new white, embossed dinnerware collections are all very comprehensive in terms of the items in each collection. they’re also fully functional, meaning they’re designed to handle the rigors of high-volume banqueting operations. And, to give operators even more comfort in their buying decisions, all three of these new collections are made with RAK’s hi-alumina material giving it strength that is also backed by RAK’s Lifetime Limited Chip Warranty. The HELM, CHARM, and SOUL collections from RAK Porcelain come with such a wide range of items that operators should have no problems creating the perfect place settings for the wide range of menus that banquet and catering operators have to offer. Each dinnerware design has round, square, and rectangular shaped plates and a similar offering of bowls of all types. Cups and saucers also run the full range from small espresso cups to large breakfast cups. We’ve talked before on our SEAT YOURSELF podcast about how banqueting and catering operators are looking to differentiate themselves by offering clients the option of serving their meals on more upscale tabletop products. And, that definitely is a trend….
However, banquet operators also still are demanding that these upscale products perform. RAK Porcelain’s new banquet dinnerware lines Helm, Charm and Soul, do just that. The fundamental beauty, functionality and the strength requirements from high volume users has definitely been designed into these 3 new dinnerware collections from RAK Porcelain. If you’re considering upgrading your banquet service or other high-volume catering facility with new dinnerware, you owe it to your guests to check out RAK Porcelain USA’s 3 new banquet dinnerware collections. To learn more about these new banquet dinnerware designs, get in touch with your local RAK Porcelain USA representative or go to www.RAKPorcelainUSA.com. There are tabletop companies that have certainly upped their hospitality game lately, we can’t think of many who have done more to improve all aspects of its game than the team at 10 Strawberry Street. Under the leadership of CEO Zach Zucker and hospitality veteran Bob Thomson, 10 Strawberry Street has cultivated its relationship with dealers and distributors and accelerated its push forward into the foodservice sector.
The new collections like ARCTIC BLUE, BISEKI, MATTE WAVE, and even the not-so-new NAGOYA are all new – or relatively new – additions to an already wide range of great hospitality dinnerware and serving options from this Denver-based company. A year ago, they also launched their SOLEX collection of flatware designs. With both classic and contemporary designs, these flatware patterns are all top quality and just like all the other products from this company – built around the values of quality and value. Speaking of their home base of Denver, just a handful of years ago 10 Strawberry Street double its warehouse size to accommodate their collections – and their commitment to service within the hospitality industry. As a recent example of that commitment was the call that the company received on a Friday from a large casino operator looking for $50,000 worth of charger plates that they needed right away. Ordered on Friday, the shipment went out on Monday. Customer happy. And, that, is what 10 Strawberry Street is all about these days. Working with hospitality customers, understanding their needs… and, then, being able to assist when other suppliers are unable to. Also within the new warehouse addition, 10 Strawberry Street is about to open their new state-of-the-art showroom location, which we will be covering soon. In addition to the physical space enlargements and improvements, there have been systems improvements and HQ staff additions so that the company can stay ahead of the demands of their rapidly growing hospitality organization and business.
So, make no mistake about it. 10 Strawberry Street is a company that’s “All-In” on the hospitality sector and if you haven’t taken a look at this company lately – it’s time to check them out!

Robbe & Berking is a German metals company and a producer of top quality flatware and accessories for discriminating hotel and restaurants. Many companies with the legacy and the heritage of Robbe & Berking might simply sit on their laurels and take advantage of their prestige branding – but not Robbe & Berking. In fact, they have lots going on and are continuing to push the design envelope even after nearly 150 years. The company’s latest adventure involves a new flatware design that evokes imagery of the famed America’s Cup yacht races. The America’s Cup is not only the oldest but also one of the most spectacular sports trophies in the world. From 1959 to 1987, the race was sailed by ’12 Metres’ – some of most elegant yachts ever made which, despite their name, were actually around 20 metres long. The Robbe & Berking shipyard, the sister company of the silver manufacturer with the same name, is a modern-day Mecca for these yachting icons. The shipyard has been commissioned to build three of these small giants in recent years, and its boat sheds are home to eleven of these yachts in the winter; more than anywhere else in the world. The first representatives of this class were launched in 1907, and over a century later, the elegant lines of the 12-metre class yachts continue to inspire and delight all those who set eyes on them. The time has come to finally pay tribute to these icons in a silverware series, the name of which is a clear nod to the inspiration for its graceful lines: 12! Designed by Daniel Eltner, this Robbe & Berking silverware collection mimics the bow of the yacht in its transition from handle to mouthpiece, while the end of the handle captures the shape of the stern and the knife blade is reminiscent of a sail at full mast. A silverware collection with a look and feel on a par with that of an elegant yacht. “Anyone who holds this silverware should be able to almost feel the sun’s warmth and the summer breeze,” says the manufacturer. Even before its official première, the design for the 12 silverware collection received an accolade from the Rat für Formgebung (German Design Council) when the jury chose it from among more than 500 other design concepts and named it one of the winners of the Iconic Award 2019. The German Design Council was established on the initiative of the German Bundestag in 1953 and aims to honour highly relevant modern developments and outstanding design achievements with its internationally acclaimed Iconic Award. Sun and summer breezes go hand in hand with cocktails on the beach. When served in the shimmering silver, hand-hammered pieces from the Martelé Bar collection, every drink becomes a work of art – be it in the kitchen at home, at an excellent meal or with an aperitif. With just this in mind, Robbe & Berking has now expanded its bar collection with the addition of a versatile snack bar line. The products from the Flensburg, Germany-based silverware manufacturer can be highly political, too. On the back of the EU’s decision to ban single-use plastics, Robbe & Berking has now introduced silver-plated drinking straws: an environmentally friendly, reusable alternative and a clear statement in favor of sustainability. Unlike plastic, the silver-plated straws instantly adapt to the temperature of the drink so that the mouth can feel the pleasantly fresh sensation. A new taste experience – keeping plastic out of our oceans and everyday life. For more information on Robbe & Berking, go here: https://robbeberking.com/en-US/home.html |
